A squad of 19 Arsenal legends has been announced for the charity match against ‘Milan Galore’ at the Emirates Stadium on 3rd September, which features household names from the Gunners and European giants AC Milan.
Arsenal are hosting the event, with all proceeds going to the Arsenal Foundation, and fans in attendance will get to see the likes of Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires, Freddie Ljungberg, Lee Dixon and David Seaman all grace the red and white colours once again.
Facing the Gunners are some of the most prestigious names of European football, with AC Milan’s side including defensive legend Paolo Maldini, Brazilian icon Cafu and forward Filippo Inzaghi all involved.
Robert Pires, just one of the stars on display, spoke about his excitement ahead of the clash:
‘We are all very excited to be taking part in this match. To play in front of the Arsenal fans once again alongside some of my old team-mates against a team of Milan legends will be amazing.’
‘I am also very proud we are raising funds for the great work of the Arsenal Foundation’.
