If Arsene Wenger is going to recruit a player for his team this January transfer window, it’s going to be an ambitious bid for a world class player.

Arsenal’s injury problems have hit them again starting the new year with many players already in the treatment room, resulting in Wenger looking at the market and who is available.

In the January transfer window, it’s near enough impossible to land a deal for key players within a team, so the Frenchman will surely be looking at players who perhaps aren’t happy with their current play-time at the top clubs in Europe. These are the sort of players who will be willing to switch clubs at the half way point of the season, so they can play football frequently again.

The best teams in the world, have the best players in the world, and its not possible for all these players to play every game – meaning that many will want to look for a new club as they realise they’re too good a player to be watching their teammates from the bench.

Alexis Sanchez and Petr Cech felt exactly that, and switched to north London from their previous clubs to get some game time under their belts.

Real Madrid could be the perfect team for Arsenal to look at for unsettled players, due to their large squad.

Here are TWO Real Madrid players Arsene Wenger will be keeping a close eye on this January transfer window…
