5 Arsenal players who’s form prevented an expected exit this month

The January window has slammed shut with the lone signing of talented central midfielder Mohamed Elneny, our only incoming senior squad player.

As expected, Mathieu Debuchy left for regular football before Euro 2016 sealing a deadline day loan move to Bordeaux and Yaya Sanogo moved on loan from Ajax to Charlton.

There are a few Gunners who looked destined to move in January, but who have played their way back into Arsene’s plans or deemed too important to let go. It’s fair to say that at the beginning of the season we didn’t expect this lot to still be at Arsenal- but we’re glad they are and they’re deserving of their new squad status!
