Arsenal may have lost 5-1 to Bayern Munich last night but it’s not all doom and gloom, as the performance put in by the Gunners was admirable.

Arsene Wenger’s side were simply taken apart by Europe’s finest outfit and we did give them a run for their money, with a much-improved performance in the second-half.

Many fans worldwide will be disappointed by the defeat, particularly the large margin, but it doesn’t tell the full story- and in fact Arsenal actually put in one of their best performances of the season going forward, breaching one of the best defences in Europe.

Following the defeat, and ahead of this weekend’s crucial North London derby, Jonathan Kaney picks out five positives Arsenal fans can take from the European defeat.

Fear not Gooners, we will return to success imminently!
