Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is reportedly the subject of interest from Chinese Super League clubs, according to Daniel Cutts in the Sun.

The 28 year old is still deciding on whether to sign a new £300,000 a week deal at the Emirates, with Arsene Wenger’s future believed to be putting doubts in his mind over whether to stay in London.

The Sun reports that some Far East clubs are prepared to offer double what he is being offered by the Gunners, and they are willing to offer a large transfer fee in order to land the German international.

Ozil has been heavily criticised for his poor performances in recent weeks, and he could look at the money on offer as a way out from the pressure playing at the top level in England.

Former club Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have all been linked with the playmaker in recent months but it seems that China is the most likely destination currently if Ozil opts against signing an extension to his contract with Arsenal.
