Wenger's defensive worries ahead of Chelsea showdown

Arsène Wenger is mulling over his defensive options for the Carling Cup final clash with Chelsea this weekend.

Arsenal have problems at left-back and right-back, with Emmanuel Eboue only just returning to training and Justin Hoyte and Gaël Clichy facing late fitness tests on respective hamstring and foot injuries.

"Eboue is out. He is set to join in [training] tomorrow so I don't think I will involve him on Sunday," Wenger revealed.

"Clichy looks like he will be out as well. It's inflammation on his foot after he got a knock and he can't kick the ball. He has a scan and we'll see tomorrow. Traore plays if he doesn't.

"Justin Hoyte will have a fitness test too because he has been out."

"Ljungberg, Gallas, Henry and Lehmann won't play." the manager also confirmed.
