What the site runs on

We have received a few emails asking us what content management software we use to power the website. Apart from the forums, which are run by phpBB, everything else on the website is built in-house. That's right, we are not using a commercial CMS, or any kind of CMS for that matter - what we want, we build in-house and roll out to you.

From the web code, which uses a combination of primarily PHP and some Perl, to the database that uses mySQL, to the layout in CSS, are all built by the people that keep this site running on a day to day basis. Of course, having a website run smoothly on the backend with no pretty frontend would be meaningless, which is why our design layout and graphics are also built to cope with the backend demands.
