According to the Mirror, a number of Chinese clubs have proposed lucrative contract offers to Alexis Sanchez’s representatives.
The Arsenal forward, who has just 18 months left on his current deal, has demanded he becomes one of the Premier League’s top earners.
It appears Sanchez is being offered a mind-blowing £400,000 per week to swap England for China which have stalled his contract negotiations with Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger is well aware of the interest in Sanchez. However it is well documented that Arsenal simply cannot compete with the financial muscle from the Far East.
The Gunners are willing to pay the Chilean up to £200,000-a-week. A substantial increase on his current £130,000.
Like Sanchez, Mesut Ozil has just 18 months left on his deal and the attacking midfielder is rumoured to be keen on a move back to Real Madrid.
It’s a precarious situation for Arsenal who may now consider cashing in on their stars rather than allowing their contracts to run down.
