Arsenal men Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kieran Gibbs both played 90 minutes to help England beat Lithuania 3-0 and become only the sixth team in the history to qualify for the European Championship with a perfect 100 win percent record.

It was an experimental line-up from Roy Hodgson who named an inexperienced England line-up with the likes of Jamie Vardy, Jonjo Shelvey, Kyle Walker and Jack Butland all starting.

It was another dominant performance from England, and Roy Hodgson will take confidence from the performances of his second string side. They took the lead through a heavily deflected Ross Barkley goal early on, before making it 2-0 with another fortuitous goal after Harry Kane’s effort rebounded off the keeper before going in.

The Ox rounded off an easy night’s work for England with a thunderbolt, smashing in from just inside the box and leaving the keeper no chance.

He will be pleased with his goal, and although he had a quiet first half, he came to life in the second and created a good chance for Harry Kane before his goal. He looked a tad short of match fitness, after struggling for first-team football this season.

Kieran Gibbs has the same issue as the Ox as he currently being kept out of the first team by Nacho Monreal. Overall he played well and showed good pace and decision making down the left. He cut inside on several occasions to create chances and was never really threatened.

With Luke Shaw’s injury, he did his chances of taking the left back slot no harm with that performance.
