Theo Walcott is looking forward to the weekend’s FA Cup final against Aston Villa, and feels Arsenal are unstoppable when on top form. Walcott was Arsenal’s hat trick hero yesterday, and says he hopes he has proved his point having not seen much of the pitch lately.

“I just want to play football and getting a hat-trick on the last day of the season after having limited opportunities, it was just nice to go out there to show what I can do,” he said. “Hopefully the fans were very happy with that.”

The Englishman said the team spirit is high, which bodes well for their fortunes this weekend.

“There is a good sense of belief in this team – we can take it into the weekend and hopefully get another trophy.”

“When it is free-flowing football, we are impossible to play against.”

Arsenal will look to set two new records at the weekend, with the 19th FA Cup final appearance a benchmark in itself, while a victory would be a record 12th. Like Walcott said, if current form is anything to go by Arsenal have a very good chance of lifting silverware again.

If Walcott himself is in that kind of form as well, Arsenal certainly have a constant goal threat and a good chance of winning. Last year’s final was much too stressful for gooners’ liking, and we hope this weekend goes for more smoothly.
