Arsenal loan star Carl Jenkinson has impressed during his time at West Ham. The once capped Englishman has reveled in his role as first choice right back, and has proved he is Premier League caliber. Much speculation has now begun to surface regarding his future at Arsenal, as the likes of Mathieu Debuchy and Hector Bellerin are Wenger’s current preferred right backs, and many are tipping the player with a move away this summer.

He is currently valued at around £10m, ten times the amount Arsenal paid for him four years ago, and the player has recently hinted that his days at Arsenal may be limited. Speaking to Sport Magazine, he revealed that a fear of sitting on the bench for another year is what motivated him to accept the loan in the first place.

“It was a big decision,” he said. “But [Mathieu] Debuchy came through the door for £12m, and I kind of knew a club doesn’t pay that money for a player and not play him.”

“I didn’t want another season of just sitting on the bench, so I spoke to the boss and he agreed it would be a good idea for me to get a season of experience under my belt in the Premier League.”

“It’s definitely been the right decision for me. It’s been the first time I’ve played regular football week in, week out, and that’s all a footballer really wants to do.”

By that rationale, one would think the same decision may be made this summer, as Debuchy and Bellerin are going nowhere anytime soon. Sitting on the bench is a very real possibility for Jenkinson, so he may be nearing the end of the road.

He is a good player but I don’t think wedt ham will pay 10 million for him
I think 4 million is about right
Obviously the arsenal fans don’t recon him as a player
He liked edit ham than let him sign next season
