Jack Wilshere believes Arsenal have a good chance of winning the league title next season, crediting the squad’s solid foundation as a real asset.

The Englishman says Arsenal can take pride in the way they finished the season last year, insisting they can lift the the crown this time around if they can find the consistency from the start

“We didn’t start the season well last year but the way we finished it… if we had played the whole season like that then we could have been champions,”he told Arsenal.com.

“If we continue our form from the end of last season when we dominated games with our possession, and we won the ball back in better positions high up the pitch, then we’ve got a real chance.”

“We want to win the league, of course we do,” he added. “We feel we’ve been together a few years now, we’ve brought in world-class players who have had time to settle, we’ve added a world-class ‘keeper with all of his experience – he’s been there and he’s done it, he’s won everything. So we really feel we’re in a strong position.”

More war cries from our lads and a signal of intent from Wilshere, who went on to say he is feeling good going into the season having missed most of last year through injury. He was impressive in his return performances, and says his good form has given him high hopes for this season.

That makes you and millions of gooners everywhere Jack. COYG!
