A new week, a new injury blow for Arsenal with Arsene Wenger confirming that Jack Wilshere won’t be available for selection for tomorrow’s home game against Burnley.

Speaking in his press conference earlier today, Le Professeur said: “There is a slight problem with Wilshere,” said the Frenchman. “I don’t think he’ll be available against Burnley.

“He took a kick on his knee. He’s not training at the moment.”

The Englishman’s absence means the Gunners are missing a key core of their matchday XI with Laurent Koscielny, Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud and Mathieu Debuchy all long-term absentees – there’s also talk Kieran Gibbs will, yet again, be facing a spell on a sidelines.

It isn’t all doom and gloom for us Gooners, though, with Theo Walcott tipped to make his long awaited to return to the matchday squad.

Who would you start instead of Jackie boy? Or maybe he wasn’t even in your predicted starting XI, anyway?

My battery is running down. So, I am sorry I can’t update my starts and bench now. Till later.

If Jack cant play it doesn’t matter. Cazorla will play better. Check out the stats. we have taken more points in the last 2 years when Jack has NOT played !!

I’m not sure how you could say Jack’s absence won’t matter. He and Sanchez have been our 2 most consistent players to this point in the season. Cazorla’s performance thus far has done nothing to inspire confidence and he was absolutely awful last week fluffing several easy chances. Ramsey is not anywhere near his best at the moment either so not having Jack who is in better form than both is definitely not a good thing.
