Arsenal fans explode as Mesut Ozil sinks Ludogorets

Long gone seem the days off disappointment on the European stage when the Gunners would inevitably lose their grip on the group with a shocking defeat or drab draw the a lowly side from the far side of the continent.

Arsene Wenger and his Arsenal side played host to Bulgarian outfit, Ludogorets on Wednesday night and, I’d imagine, many-a-fan would have taken a dull one or two nil win and the three points that come with that before kick-off, such has been the form in Europe over the past few seasons.

However, that didn’t appear to be enough for a rampant side who ruthlessly dispatched their lesser opposition 6-0 at The Emirates.

Alexis Sanchez, who has excelled in his new role as the No.9 this season, opened the scoring with a perfectly executed chip before a fine finish from Theo Walcott and a third from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain gave the hosts a comfortable lead.

However, it was the antics of a man usually known for racking up the assists than his proficiency in front of goal which will take all the headlines.

Mesut Ozil capped a fine evening under the lights at home with his fist ever Arsenal hat-tricks, and the fans took notice, here are some of the best reactions…
