It appears a certain former Arsenal player has voiced his less than complimentary opinions about Arsenal and Arsene Wenger. And by former player, I mean flop. Gervinho is the man i’m referring to, and it seems he is still bitter about his inability to impact games in the Premier League.
He is now with Roma and says he currently hates Arsenal, particularly because of his diminished relationship with Wenger, whom he accused of unfair treatment.
“He [Wenger] never had confidence in me. [Roma coach Rudi Garcia] doesn’t differentiate between those who are playing and those who aren’t playing. That’s important for a player.”
“He doesn’t only speak to those who are playing, he talks to everyone as there are 25 players in the squad, not just 11.”
“As a child, I dreamed of playing for Arsenal because I loved them. Now I hate them for the way Wenger treated me.”
“However, I regretted leaving the club after such a short time without being able to show my worth, which I’m now doing at Roma instead.”
Where do I start with this one? Well sir, perhaps you should take a good look at your own performances before you blame anybody else. Was Wenger to blame for you missing a sitter from two yards against Bradford? Can you blame Wenger for your erratic first touch and horrendous shooting?
Let me guess, because Wenger didn’t talk to you and alienated you from the starters, you though you would get your revenge by skying shots over the bar or swiping at air with the goal gaping? Give it up mate. You had two full seasons at the club where you made 46 league appearances and only managed to score 9 goals (just 11 in total). If you think that embarrassing tally is deserving a further chance, your headband must be a little too tight.
You’ve done brilliantly for Roma. You should have just accepted that and gone about your way. Maybe different players prosper in different environments, and you found that Serie A was a little bit more your speed. There is no real shame in that, but don’t point the finger at our club just because you couldn’t make the cut. Grow up pal.

I’m fairly certain he said he was misquoted with those quotes about hating Arsenal.
It tells me one thing and one thing only ” Sour Grapes Gervinho” you had chances after chances with Wenger but did not deliver , you cannot now come back and say that you were unfairly treated when you know well you missed the boat, as for your comments , I am sure Mr Wenger is losing sleep over it .
Gervinho has denied saying he hates Arsenal or Wenger, and in fact has said the media need to employ a better translator, it seems he knows how the media agenda works, pity so many Arsenal fans fall for it.
