Arsenal’s injury woes have been reduced ahead of a crucial North London derby this weekend, with two first-team players set to return.

Whilst the Gunners travel to face Bayern Munich this evening without nine first-team members, including the latest injury set-back in the form of Hector Bellerin, Arsene Wenger revealed that two players will return to training this week.

Speaking to the press ahead of tonight’s Champions League game, the long-serving boss said:

“They [Arteta and Ospina] are all very close. I think Arteta will be back in full training on Friday, Ospina as well,”

Meanwhile, Arsenal should have a further boost after the upcoming international break, which takes place following the North London showdown, with two further key players returning.

“After the break, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Ramsey [could be] back as well.”

Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky and Danny Welbeck are long-term absentees but Hector Bellerin, Theo Walcott and Mathieu Flamini should not be absent for an extended period of time.
