Marca, probably *the* go-to, and most respectable, source in Spanish football, are reporting that Arsenal are set to complete one of their trademark swoops for a promising youngster. However, this time it isn’t Barcelona on the receiving end a la Jon Toral, Hector Bellerin and, of course, Cesc Fabregas, it is in fact their arch rivals Real Madrid.
Step forward the wonderfully-named Gorka Zabarte Moreno, a 15-year-old central defender who describes himself as a “fast and aggressive player” two things we could desperately do with now in our back four – we haven’t reached desperation levels of playing a 15-year-old in the first-team just yet.
Marca are suggesting that the deal is all but complete with Moreno’s bags all packed and Emirates-bound after earning an impressive reputation at Real Madrid’s academy – a youth set-up that is slowly but surely growing its reputation as one of the beautiful game’s best academies.
Moreno, who celebrates his 16th birthday in January, certainly sounds like one to keep our eye on.
arsenal need to buy a defender
at last it z gonna be a gr8 one with a young star
y wenger alway hve interest in young playerz en tz ok he myt heroe in fture
How about getting the boy if he realy is that good note he already fits wengers requirements and a “Galactico”
I am tired of the arsenal youth policy. It has not yield good over the years
I think that is a great idea.lets see what the youngster has to offer Arsenal in the Central Defence, coz we really need one.
