According to The Mail, Arsenal are eyeing up a move from Marco Reus if Alexis Sanchez decides to depart The Emirates this summer.

The Borussia Dortmund striker has been heavily linked away from Germany for some time, although has never muttered his desire to leave.

Reus, who has recently returned from another long spell on the sidelines, is an integral member of the Dortmund side. It would take a mega bid to secure his services.

The 27 year-old has a torrid injury record in Germany, but has still scored more than 20 goals in two of his three previous seasons at Dortmund.

It now appears the Germany international is the No 1 target for The Gunners.

With just 18 months left on his current deal, Alexis Sanchez’s future remains uncertain. Contract negotiations have currently stalled, with Arsenal offering around £180,000-a-week wages, the club is determined to keep him.

Earlier this month, the 28 year-old admitted he finds London life ‘stressful’ as he continues to ponder over his future at Arsenal.
