Arsenal great Ray Parlour believes both Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho are to blame for the now infamous handshake incident following the Community Shield. Mourinho shook hands with the entire Arsenal squad as the players stepped down from recieving their medals, but as Wenger approached the two men turned away from one another and walked their separate ways.

Parlour says the snub is down to a lack of respect between the two managers, and believes both parties are to blame.

“You could see when he was walking down the stairs, Jose did turn round but Arsene has walked straight round the back of him,” Parlour told Sky Sports.

“As a manager you’ve got to be a bit of a role model, and not just to the team itself, but to youngsters at the club as well.”

“I think it’s a bit of respect for both sides if you do shake hands. I think they’re both to blame a little bit.”

Pity something as seemingly minute as a handshake seems to steal all of the headlines from what was an important victory for Arsenal. It’s not as if the two men were once friends and were expected to greet each other after the final whistle.

Who to blame is irrelevant for me, and the snub should have been seen from a mile away really. What do you think gooners?

Mourinho is the blame in this context because he never respect Aswene Wenger and besides the football, Wenger is older than him. The problem about mourinho is that he is not out spoken, there are all other coaches’ in premier league, but why always Wenger.

We play football not handshake . throwing his gift to the crowd shows lack of respect for himself, football, and England that feeds him.shame
