Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has selected a dream-team consisting of the Premier League’s top four sides, with four Gunners stars making the cut.

Selecting the team for Sky Sportahead of a mammoth weekend that sees Arsenal tackle Leicester City and Manchester City face off with Spurs, the Gunners all-time leading scorer stuck true to his roots by selecting four of Arsene Wenger’s side.

Petr Cech, Hector Bellerin, Laurent Koscielny and Mesut Ozil are the four players to make the cut, with the absence of Alexis Sanchez possible raising some eyebrows. However, with the Chilean missing a few months due to injury it’s not too surprising.

Henry had kind words for all the Arsenal men in the team, starting with Petr Cech who he stated has saved Arsenal many times this season.

“I think Petr Cech has been tremendous for Arsenal – especially after the start he had against West Ham, which made you wonder whether he was going to be the goalkeeper he was. He’s proving that he’s still the guy. I struggled over Cech or Hugo Lloris but I’ve gone for Cech. He knows how to win and he’s saved Arsenal so many times this season. You need a top goalkeeper if you’re going to win the league.”

Henry also added that picking youngster Hector Bellerin was an ‘easy choice’, whilst revealing he feels Laurent Koscielny is the best defender in the Premier League.

“Hector Bellerin is a simple choice for me – I think he’s the best right-back in the league. He deals with counters and two-on-one situations very well, on top of bringing something going forward.”

“Vincent Kompany could have been in there, too, but I’m picking Laurent Koscielny – he’s the best defender in the league for me.”

Finally, Henry stated his admiration for Mesut Ozil, who is just four assists short of beating the Premier League assists record for a single season- which, incidentally, is currently held by Henry himself.

“What more can I say about Mesut Ozil? He scores goals but it’s the way he takes care of the ball. There’s always an idea behind what he’s doing before he does it. He has a football brain. We need to educate the kids to play like him. We had a go at him when he wasn’t performing – sometimes it takes a while – but I hope he can be the guy for Arsenal for a long time.”
