Real Madrid attacking midfielder Marco Asensio has told his club that he wants to leave in the summer, according to A Bola.

The Portuguese newspaper say the latest development has stirred interest from Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Asensio hasn’t really got a look in under manager Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu this season, and it seems that the 21 year old has had enough and would like to leave in order to get more first team football.

Real are reportedly keen to keep Asensio but the player is said to be prepared to force through a move at the end of the season. So far this campaign, the midfielder has made 13 starts (six coming in the Copa Del Rey), making 23 appearances in all.

His seven goals in four different competitions this season demonstrate he is ready to make his mark as a first team regular, and it seems likely that he will have to leave the Champions League winners to establish himself.
