Theo Walcott is set to ink a fresh new deal with Arsenal after the FA Cup Final on Saturday with the winger ready to commit according to a number of reports coming out of North London

With rife speculation about the comings and goings at the Emirates during the Summer Transfer Window, Walcott reminded Gooners just what they’d lose should they have let him go over the summer with a hat trick in the Gunners’ final Premier League appearance, demolishing the Baggies at home 4-1.

Many believed that Walcott was at the end of his tether in North London as his position in the squad repeatedly came under fire. However, with one year left on his contract, Walcott has reportedly agreed to a deal worth in the vicinity of £90,000 per week.

If Walcott stays at the Emirates, he is likely to receive a lot of competition for his starting spot with a number of incumbents looking to cement their place in the Arsenal first team, not to mention the likes of AC Milan’s Stephan El Shaarawy looking at the Gunners’ as a realistic transfer option over the summer.

We don’t need El Shaarawy. We have the OX! And with Sanchez starting on the other side and Walcott and Welbz also fighting for a spot I’m not sure we’ll get a winger, unless it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. For example if Reus becomes available.
