Arsenal young guns continue to impress abroad, with Gedion Zelalem becoming the latest to endear himself to his new fan base. The young American only just completed his move to Rangers on Monday, and was thrown right into the team for last night’s Scottish League cup clash with Airdrieonians.

He took no time making his presence felt, helping the club race to a 3-0 lead after just 15 minutes. He assisted the third, intercepting a wayward pass before picking out Martyn Waghorn to tuck away. He was a part of the sweeping moving that lead to the second as well, and Rangers fans took to twitter to announce their appreciation for the player.

The match ended 5-0 with Zelalem playing a big role in the thrashing. Have a look at both moments of brilliance down below.

Also have a look at this 101greatgoals report to see some Rangers fans’ reactions.

Seeing our lads shine will always warm the hearts of gooners and fill us with extreme optimism for the future. What do make of Zelalem’s performance?
