Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United have both made equiries with the camp of wantaway West Ham man Dimitri Payet, according to a report from the Daily Star.

Both Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho are beleived to be long-term admirers of the France international, who shocked Hammers fans by refusing to play for the club earlier this month.

The 29-year-old, who was one of the standout performers in his maiden season in the Premier League last season, has – like the east London club – failed to live up to his billing so far this term.

However, the former St. Etienne man is reportedly set to snub all interest in favour of a return to his old club Marseille, a move on which he has his heart set.

Slaven Bilic’s side, who have struggled this season, proved that they can cope without the star man when they coasted past former manager Sam Allardyce and his Crystal Palace side at the London Stadium on Saturday, winning 3-0.
