Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has warned Arsenal that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not for sale under any circumstances. Aubameyang has been one of the Bundesliga’s best and most consistent goal scorers since joining two seasons ago, netting 26 times last season.

Various reports have linked Arsenal with a £30million bid for the player, but Zorc says there is no truth in these links. Sky Sports maintains that Dortmund are especially keen to keep the player having already lost Ciro Immobile to Sevilla, and quoted Zorc as saying this:

“We rely heavily on Aubameyang – that is no secret.”

“I’ve heard a lot about this (a transfer to Arsenal) but I can say very clearly that it is blocked for him. He is simply not for sale.”

Things can change very quickly in football, especially as it pertains to transfer, but for now this seems a clear indication the move isn’t likely. We will have to wait and see if a bid from Arsenal for the player is indeed forthcoming, with Wenger holding his cards close to his chest.
