The Gunners play host to Swiss side, Basel in the second round of Champions League group stage games on Wednesday night, looking for their first win in the competition this season.

Having started the campaign with a hard-fought draw in Paris against French champions, Paris Saint Germain, manager Arsene Wenger will be keen make a good start at The Emirates.

French striker, Olivier Giroud returned from an injury to gain a place on the bench in the resounding 3-0 win over Chelsea on Saturday, however will miss out on Wednesday after his late red card against PSG.

The only fresh injury going into the fixture is Francis Coquelin, who was forced off with knee problem in the win against London rivals Chelsea.

The Swiss visitors are also looking for their first win in Group A, having drawn with Bulgaria outfit Ludogorets in their opener. As both sides look to kick-start their campaigns, here is the XI that we think Wenger should go with…
