Unbelievably dreadful result today. It is beyond my grasp how Arsenal managed to lose to a United said who is average at best. Average is being kind, this was the worse United side ever during Wenger’s tenure. The score should have been 4-0 after the first half to be fair, and yet I sit here writing about a loss.

Arsenal’s stigmas of having a soft underbelly, weak mental strength, and lack of killer instinct have all been proven today and I am so disappointed. Not to mention the injuries to Wilshere and Szczesny to add injury to insult (yes I worded that correctly) and today could not have possibly gone any worse. I will end my rant now, and instead offer you my player ratings. The boys got somewhat descent rating despite the dreadful result. I hold nobody but sheer misfortune accountable for the first goal, and everyone accountable for the second so as to not dock any one player’s rating down significantly.

Arsenal don’t have time to dwell on this, Dortmund come to town Wednesday.

Also, sensational goal from Giroud who didn’t play long enough to get a rating but deserves some credit.

    Why arsenal ???

I’m not sure if you watched the match. What’s the point of giving 6’s and 7s when Arsenal lost? Szczesney got not rating despite having ballsed up the only thing he had to do before going off. Wilshere missed a sitter and should have been red carded, also not rated? Both should have had a 1 or 2.
I don’t get the impression that defeat really bothers most of this team, if it does, they don’t change. Worst points total since 82, just about sums it up. Either the manager is no longer up to the job, or the players are letting him down, or both. I think it’s both!

Interestingly forgot to mention that he should have received a red card for an unbelievable show of petulance followed by the highly amusing shoving his head into Fellaini’s face , almost .
    N/A ? Not arsed ?

In all fairness I think the boys played well. this ispur misfortune that De Gea had his best game so far, against us.

Not much to say for a performance against probably the worse Man Utd we will face for many a year. Sadly nothing will change while Wenger is at the helm, so we will plough on same ol way finish mid field at best this season, he will still get his £8,000,000 a year fans still pay highest ticket prices in the prem, very disillusioned and pissed of

Whoever wrote these players assessments is truly a blinkered Arsenal fan. Kieran Gibbs cannot defend and is often out of position thinking he a centre back. How many times I saw Alexis at left back I do not know. Monreal is such an average player and should not even be in the team. Chambers has been shoved in at the deep end even though he has had some good games at this present time he’s suffering from a lack of confidence. Mertesacker is past his best. Welbeck is a good signing but in the really good Arsenal teams of the past he is at most a bench player. Flamini, Arteta, and Rosicky are past their sell by dates. The Ox, Walcott, and Wilshire are at currently over-rated and injury prone. As Arsenal Fans, we all watched the game today and as many have said this was the most average Man U side we’ve played for years. And we still could not beat them. As a true Arsenal fan I am a realist. In past seasons we have had several world class players. As a team we do not know how to defend whether we are one nil in front or behind; and clearly there is no plan B. I think we all agree we have one world class player in Alexis who is forced to be all over the pitch. As I have said, and many Arsenal supporters have said in the past, we have not addressed the positions that Arsenal truly need. For example: Goalkeeper, Two Centre backs, Holding Midfielder, and a Centre Forward. All need to be world class. With the unspent money we have in the bank this is incredibly frustrating. I think Wenger needs to go NOW. His time is up at our club. My last comment, getting back to the original point, we are simply not good enough and need to urgently regroup.

Gibbs was pushed= not much he could do

You’re deluded, mate! We may have some good players and not so good players, but saying Gibbs is bad is ludicrous – he’s one of the best left backs in the league! Wilshere, Ox and Walcott are not over-rated, if anything, they’re underrated! Walcott hasn’t even got back in the team since injury so you can’t comment about him, and Chamberlain is playing amazingly ‘currently’. Wilshere is great, but he can’t finish, that doesn’t make him over-rated. Lastly, not in reply to your comment, but in general: Welbeck is over-rated. People say he’s good but he misses countless 1v1s that for Arsenal’s standards, should be goals. I feel he lacks the finishing qualities you find in any great striker. I feel Giroud is getting better and looked good after coming on as a substitute.
In terms of the January transfer window, Arsenal need another centre-back, while Koscielny is out, and a holding midfielder. All great teams have a holding-midfielder and I feel Viera has never truly been replaced (except Song but he left).

Arsenal’s continual poor performance even with a team full of internationals is due to Wengers’s plan ‘A’ from 1994 with no alternative. He has shown time and time again that he is tactically inept by being unable to beat defensive teams, especially lowly ranked ones. Glaring schoolboy errors are obvious and one could write the script of Arsenal’s downfall minutes before opposition teams score. I’ve watched every Arsenal manager since Tom Whittacker and I don’t think there are any worse than Wenger over the last ten years.
