Mesut Ozil has laid out a statement of intent for Arsenal this weekend, saying his side aims to extend their winning run in the Premier League by beating Jose Mourinho’s men. League leaders Chelsea stroll into town tomorrow and currently sit ten points clear at the top of the table.

Arsenal’s record signing admits that Arsenal’s chances at the title are slim, but insists his side will give their all to beat the Blues.

“We are in a great shape and want to extend our run with a victory on Sunday,” he said.

“Even if we only have a theoretical chance of winning the Premier League, the meeting of the two teams with the most points of the league is something special.”

Good to hear the lad is fired up and raring to go.

At this point, the stage has well and truly been set for an enthralling match tomorrow. The lads are in terrific form at the moment, having taken 33 points from a possible 39 in their last 13 matches. As it stands, Arsenal have won their last 8 league games in a row, and a win tomorrow would at the very least lay down a marker for next season.

Ozil will be integral to the Arsenal attack tomorrow. The side will look to pick him out in space if we hope to have any success breaking down Chelsea’s back line.
