After 70 minutes, I was looking forward to penning my thoughts on Arsenal’s performance and talking about how we were going to catch Borussia Dortmund, go through top and enjoy a successful Champions League campaign.
20 minutes later, I’m lost for words!
Although, the truth is, I shouldn’t be because failing spectacularly, embarrassing ourselves and doing what many believe isn’t possible – in a negative way – is a trait of this Arsenal side ever since the move to the Emirates.
Anderlecht, with all due respect, are the sort of side Arsenal should be expecting to keep a clean-sheet against, bag five or six goals and, ultimately, going out and enjoying their football and, in turn, building up their confidence.
Yet again it was the defence letting down the attack with Alexis Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain not deserving to be on the end of anything other than an empathic win! And it seems Twitter agrees with me!

Awful. Everywhere. Bar Sanchez. Who must wonder what he’s done in a previous life to deserve this.

Forget Monreal, Alexis Sanchez doesn’t deserve to be playing with a chubbying Santi Cazorla

@Alexis_Sanchez is playing for a wrong team. He doesn’t deserve this. Wenger should have bought a world class DM and CB #AFC
