New Spanish wonderkid at Arsenal?

Apparently we have a new Spanish wonderkid at Arsenal, and like Cesc Fabregas, he's Catalan ... and from Barcelona.

Fran Mérida could not move to Arsenal before his 16 birthday, which is sometime in March.

Arsenal have been waiting for Mérida to move for sometime, but couldn't move earlier due to him not being 16 yet.

The squad list on Arsenal.com's match report against Brighton Albion lists "a triallist". It could be that Mérida has not officially signed for Arsenal yet, and thus cannot be included in the official squad list.

Mérida turns 16 this month, so I guess it will be official this month if he does join the youth ranks at Arsenal.

If this is true, then Arsène Wenger's idealism of building a successful team without spending millions of pounds seems to be taking the club forward, and is a shove up the arse for anyone who's been saying that Wenger doesn't give youth a chance.

Actually, it's already been a shove up the arse for the former already.
