Do your part to convince Henry to stay
Yesterday we received an email from REDaction, the Arsenal fans group who have been so proactive in improving the atmosphere at Highbury amongst other things.
The email was a PLEA. A plea to Gooners worldwide to get together and URGE Thierry Henry to stay at Highbury, because there is the very real chance that he will LEAVE Arsenal.
REDaction have it on good authority that the contract on the table waiting for our captain's signature is unlike anything the club have ever offered to a player before.
Henry himself knows it's a phenomenal contract, but is unsure of staying at Arsenal purely for footballing reasons.
There is a popular assumption that Henry won't uproot his family and move abroad. That assumption seems wrong now, as Henry is unsure of staying on for football. He wants a change in his life, and football is not the only thing on his mind when he's making a decision.
As a father, he has to consider the needs of his young family.
REDaction, with the help of Arsenal Football Club, are urging fans to write in to Henry and convince him to stay, that there is no where better than Arsenal and that the furthest he will have to travel for a new home is ten-minutes up the road to the Emirates Stadium.
A simple one-liner on a postcard, saying: "Henry, please stay," will be enough. If you don't want to do this, get your friends and family to.

He is the best player I've ever seen! Just seeing him on the pitch presents me a great joy! he must stay in ARSENAL for all thoes fans around the world!

Dearest Thierry, please stay. You deliver so much joy to me in the colours of the Gunners. A great instititution will never be the same without you. You have achieved a lot. I am at the tip of Africa and can see you being instrumental in delivering the Champions League to Arsene who believed in you when you were not wanted at Juventus. Please, Please stay. Arsenal and Henry are synonomous. Do it for me, here at the tip of Africa, only like the French can.

When Theirry Henry signs the contract (which he will but im still sending the letter) Arsenal should be the first club ever to retire a number im pretty sure you all know which one im talking about. Lets lift the cup in may gunners!

I really love Thierry henry and think that he is the best footballer ever with great skills and Arsenal need to do more in order to convince him to stay!

thierry is the best thing that has happened to arsenal football club. just look at his stats more goals than anyone and no red cards and a note to the man himself there are lots of good young players coming through so you should stay such as adebayor and fabregas

It is important not to just ask him to stay, but to actually tell him how much you enjoy seeing him play, etc. so that he doesn't feel the people is doubting what he said in January.

This is madness. The guy is NOT bigger than he club despite what some fans think. He should WANT to stay not have people pleaseding with him to stay FFS. The contratc is there ready to be signed and has been for months.

Hes an absolute legend, im just licking my lips for the envelope now so pucker up everyone and send that letter. I can imagine his face when they say hey thierry theres some post for you mate. its in that 30 foot wagon outside lol.
