Arsenal midfielder and makeshift left-back Mathieu Flamini has said that he won't be intimidated playing against Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford later today.
The Frenchman, currently being used as an emergency left-back in the absence of regular left-backs Ashley Cole and Gaël Clichy, said that he's played against big players before.
Flamini said: "We will see. I do not worry. Even if I am about to come up against the best player in the world it doesn't even enter my mind.
"It was not easy playing in the role at first, I admit that. But at the same time I haven't surprised myself, in that it has gone well for me."
Such is the success of Flamini's conversion that many Arsenal fans are wondering if the move should be permanent for Flamini, seeing as the possibility of Cole leaving Arsenal is still quite real.
Flamini said: "I know Ashley is a big player and my natural position is midfield.
"But the coach will make up his mind on that one. It is up to him.
"At this moment I am happy to stay there for the team."

He is doing a fantastic job there too! He deserves alot of credit for Arsenal's European run with the record that has been set by the defence of 8 games without a goal conceeded in the Champions League. But will it affect his ability to play in the centre of midfield when Ashley and Gael are fit again?
