Wenger praises Henry after win over Sunderland

Arsène Wenger praised Thierry Henry's performance after Arsenal thrashed Sunderland 3-0 today to keep the pressure on Spurs for fourth spot.

Henry had a role in all three goals, providing two and scoring one more to end the game as a contest.

Wenger said: "We know he (Henry) can do that. I thought he took the free kick well and the chance to Cesc is a great ball and that's why he's so valuable, he can score and provide.

"We played well and controlled the game, of course we were 3-0 up in the first half.

"There was no real need to score more goals."
