Robin van Persie is the subject of an FA probe into racial abuse during the Manchester City v Arsenal game.
The Arsenal striker is alleged to have racially abused City's David Sommeil.
City boss Stuart Pearce was informed by referee Graham Poll that there had been an allegation of racial abuse but he spoke to both players individually during the match to calm the matter down.
Pearce added: "None of my players mentioned it to me at half time or after the game.
"But if someone does come and speak to me about it, it will be taken very seriously."
The incident was believed to have taken place after a tussle in the penalty box.
The FA is now awaiting Sommeil's response before deciding whether to launch a formal inquiry.

he got carried away that's all. he wouldn't have done that had Sommeil not provoked him. maybe a few match suspension would be right but not ejection from the club. that would be ridiculous by the FA. it really isnt an enourmous problem and if it really was serious Sommeil would have appealed to the FA by now

Impossible to believe. Almost all of his friends are black, among them many black football players.

Dating or being married to a person from another race doesn't mean you are incapable of using racial abuses when you want to hurt someone. I had a white English girlfriend who even my parents believed was the best thing that had ever happened to me, because you could really tell she was in love with me. but that never stopped her calling me f***ing black c*** the day she really felt hurt and wanted to get her own back. If the alleged incident really happened, he should be sacked and prosecuted. we need to send a strong message to the world of football that racism in any form has got not place on and off the pitch all over England.

If Van Presie really racially abused, insulted David then i think he should be banned for playing in England and for Arsenal.Am an arsenal supporter in Uganda and i think he shouldnt transfer his dutch poor habbits to England and worst of all to Arsenal. We in Uganda are not happy with him and if its true let Wenger and the Arsenal board take action, this is for the good of the game, strict action can instill discipline in rude and rowdy players, they should be banned from playing the game, coz these are all human beings. LET HIM BE PUNISHED SEVERELY.

Professionals do their job, focusing all their hardwork, concentration and spirit in the game.In doing so they also keep their cool.Agression should be in his game not from his mouth through insults.Van Persie better watch out,its quite evident what Wenger does with bad blood.

This is ridiculous. Van Persie's wife is Moroccan. How can he be racist with Moroccan wife?
