Saviola signing?

Saviola signing?

Reports in Spanish media source AS have revealed that former Barcelona player and Argentine World Cup star Javier Saviola is nearing to a deal with Arsenal.

The report, in Spanish, states that Saviola is almost finished with an agreement to bring the forward to Arsenal, after leaving Barcelona earlier this summer. The contract offer from Arsenal is rumoured to be in the range of €3.5 million.

"El Conejo" has received offers from Arsenal and Panathinaikos, but with the future of Greek football in the balance the dimunitive striker has rejected the larger offer from the Athens based club in favour of the offer from London.

Saviola's agent is arriving in Barcelona later today to finalise the players departure from the Champions League winners.

Saviola cant be any worse then Adebayor. I can imagine Henry with Saviola that would be an amazing partnership..

That's great if Saviola come to arsenal! He can play as the striker and winger! So, the team will ha more rotation player too!

I'm not to sure if we do need him, but I think he would be a decent signing for only €3.5 million that's what about £2.5 million, I think thats a great deal.

Wenger want Arsenal play like an electric movement as fast as posibble. Saviola is a very xperiance player although he still age 24. As long as Wenger at Arsenal you should't be worry. He knows the best for Arsenal.

What you guys wouldnt want a guy of Saviola's quality at AG .. If that is the correct price it can only be a bargain .. We have plenty of forward's but theres never too many players

Arsenal don't need him at the moment. Saviola is a good striker but with Walcott coming through the ranks, we don't need another striker. And i don't have to say much about van Persie nd Henry

I agree with timmyc that Van Persie and Walcott should be given a chance next season. Although Wenger might have a transformation with Saviola in mind like with Thierrry (winger to forward)?

Not sure about saviola. He seem to be slightly overrated. But if it's true I trust that Wenger has seen something more. Arsene knows afterall

Personally I dont think we need him, we have plenty of strikers avaliable. I would rather not sign him and have Walcott and van Persie get more exposure next season.

Im not sure whether Saviola will be able to cope with the physical side of the premiership, he is just like Reyes and he will fall all over the place. I just hope he can prove me wrong if he does arrive.
