Wenger frustrated with his team

Arsène Wenger was unhappy with the weekend's draw with Aston Villa, in which Arsenal came from behind to draw 1-1.

The Arsenal manager feels that the Gunners should have won after dominating possession.

Wenger said: "There were a lot of good things in the build-up.

"We lacked a bit of sharpness in the finishing part of our game and we made a mistake for the goal we conceded, but it is the type of game you get at the start of the season."

The Arsenal manager blamed the mid-week internationals, claiming that his players had little time to prepare or recover from their endeavours whilst representing their country.

Wenger was also happy with the new stadium, and says that all it takes now is for the team to reach the high standards expected of them.

He added: "I must say that it is very difficult to take on board how players have to go away.

"Sometimes they have to play 90 minutes far away and then when they come back they have little time to prepare.

"The pitch is great, the fans were great and the atmosphere was great, so all we need now is for the team to be great.
