Cygan sold to Villareal
Arsenal have agreed a fee with Spanish club Villareal for the sale of defender Pascal Cygan.
Cygan had previously stated that he was happy to stay on at Arsenal and fight for his place but the emergence of Swiss centre-back Johan Djourou as Philippe Senderos' deputy has seen Cygan drop further down the pecking order.
It is thought that the transfer fee is in the region of £2 million.
Cygan has apparently passed a medical and will move to Villareal tonight.
Cygan has spent four years at Arsenal but has now decided to join former Arsenal winger Robért Píres at Villareal.

Can we still make cygan jokes though?? And i'm not one to complain but isnt 2 million a little too much for cygan..i mean andy cole was half a million n malbranque was worth 2 million himself...surely cygan isnt worth all that...but agian, im not complainaing.
