Ribery still keen on joining Arsenal

According to his agent, Franck Ribery is still very keen on joining Arsenal, but is more likely to join at the end of the season rather than in the January transfer window.

Ribery's agent, Bruno Heiderscheid said in an interview with News of the World that Thierry Henry was a big factor in drawing Ribery to Arsenal.

"Arsène Wenger likes the player a lot," Heiderscheid said.

"He wanted to take him this summer but Marseille refused to sell. Arsène has made it clear he wants to take him next year.

"Franck would very much like to join Arsenal because of Arsène, the style of football they play and also because his very close friend from the France team, Thierry Henry, plays for them."

But Heiderscheid wanted to make it clear that Arsenal had had no illegal contact with Ribery: "I can categorically deny there is any agreement with Arsenal at this stage or even negotiations," he said.

"These would have to take place in January at the earliest as we see how the season progresses with Marseille and Franck wants to concentrate on his current club.

"Franck is now a very big player in Europe and it's true the biggest clubs want him badly."

Ribery and Henry link up like fish & chips
there one to two play both over lapping each and both have pace and skill to burn

I think Ribery would be the Robert Pires story all over again. This would be great because I always thought that Henry played his best with his Pires understanding and would reproduce that with Ribery.
The only problem would then be, how are we going to fit in so many good players regularly into the team. A nice problem to have though, so fingers crossed.

Why doesnt some one just tell Ribery that he is not needed here and to stop stating he want's to come here blah blah blah.

It's Really great to see a player like Ribery joining Arsenal he's amazing and really impressive with he's skills and Pace looking Forward to see him playing for the club!!
