Bolton have long been one of the few teams who can be listed as a bogey team for the Arsenal, with the Gunners having a near-dismal record at the Reebok Stadium in recent years.
Spanish midfielder Francesc Fabregas is keen to put this to rest, claiming that Arsenal are in better shape than ever to take on Sam Allardyce's team.
Fabregas, speaking on a web chat at the official website, said: "It's a big weekend for us, especially if we can get three points in a difficult stadium.
"Bolton is probably the most difficult stadium.
"This year we are physically much stronger, we are playing so well and I think we can do something."
The former Barcelona player also said that it was especially important that the Gunners take full points from the game, as current Premiership leaders Chelsea and Manchester United are due to play one another on Sunday.
Fabregas added: "It is also important with Manchester United and Chelsea playing. This period of winter - December and January - is so important because there are so many games that you can be at the top in four or five games, so it is important to keep going because we are Arsenal.
"In the last two seasons, the Reebok is the stadium where I have personally suffered the most because they are going for the long balls, they put pressure on you, they are strong and big.
"Before I didn't have the fitness for this kind of game, but this year I feel ready.
'The team looks good and I'm sure we can do something there and I'm looking forward to the game."
