One of the world's biggest derbies will be played for the first time at Arsenal's new Emirates Stadium when Tottenham Hotspur visit their bitter rivals' new ground.

Arsenal have the upper hand over Spurs, with 63 wins over their North London neighbours compared to 49 for Spurs.

Arsenal have scored 220 goals against their rivals, and conceded 197.

Over the course of 150 games, this proves that encounters between the two clubs are usually closely-fought affairs.

The Gunners are also unbeaten against Spurs since 1999, when both Freddie Ljungberg and Martin Keown were sent off in a 2-1 defeat at White Hart Lane.

Since then, Arsenal have beaten Spurs 9 times and drawn 6 times. Most memorable of all was the 5-4 win at White Hart Lane.

Spurs also lost 3-0 at Highbury in 2002.

The odds are stacked in Arsenal's favour but the Emirates Stadium is not the same happy hunting ground as Highbury, Arsenal having drawn 3 games already at the new stadium, all three after being a goal down.
