Arsenal defender Kolo Touré claimed that his team were lucky to come away with all three points from the JJB Stadium against Wigan.
The Gunners left it till two minutes from normal time to score the winning goal, with midfielder Francesc Fabregas coming off the bench to provide the vital assist for Emmanuel Adebayor.
Touré said: "It was really difficult for us.
"Wigan are a really good team, really strong and make the job really hard.
"Adebayor scored a fantastic goal, I am really happy, we needed it.
"I think they played very well and we are lucky they didn't score but we had some chances. We were lucky at the end we made the difference."
