Arsenal right-back Lauren made a successful comeback against Vietnamese side Hoang Anh Gia Lai at London Colney in a closed-doors friendly on Friday.
The Cameroon international was playing his first game in almost a year after being out injured with a serious knee injury.
Lauren played 55 minutes and suffered no ill effects. He is now aiming to regain his first team slot from Emmanuel Eboue, starting with Tuesday's Carling Cup match against Liverpool at Anfield.
Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger is looking to rest a number of first team members after an excruciating Christmas period to concentrate on being title contenders again.
This may be a good opportunity for Lauren to gain some competitive match experience.
