Arsène Wenger has said that his team are relishing the prospect of taking on Liverpool in two cup ties that should shape the seasons of both teams.
Arsenal will play both ties against Liverpool at Anfield, where Arsenal have traditionally not fared as well as Gooners would like.
Wenger said: "It's a big draw, to play Liverpool, but I am sure we are going to be ready, strong and focused.
"Sometimes it is better to play a big team like this immediately because you have to focus and be at your best.
"We know we have to do this tomorrow and I am sure everyone will be focused on the job.
"We beat Liverpool earlier in the season and quite convincingly. That gives us some confidence because we know we can win again against them.
"But that is only a belief and it is not any assurance. We have been winning and I feel we can continue to do that."
Wenger also said Arsenal would fly back to London immediately after Saturday's FA Cup third round clash and would return by plane to Liverpool early on Tuesday prior to their League Cup quarter-final meeting.
