Lauren is currently in talks with West Ham over a possible transfer to Upton Park, Sky Sports News has confirmed.
The Cameroon right-back has apparently been told by manager Arsène Wenger that he can leave Arsenal, though looking past the press sensationalism I am thinking that the Gunners prefer a loan deal over a permanent move.
Lauren has only just returned from injury but reportedly walked out during training when he was told that he wasn't going to be included in the squad against Liverpool in the Carling Cup.
I hope that it is indeed a loan deal, as we can't have more experience walking out the door and Eboue isn't exactly a better defender than Lauren either.

this is just fabricated. Lauren isnt going to leave arsenal just because he was told to take it easy.

I hope this is a mere rumour.
First the Freddie rumour then Lauren... we need experience... despite the abundance of youthful talent....

If repoRts are correct Lauren is out of contract at the end of the season so it cant be a loan deal.

Why would you (Arsenal) loan him to us (West Ham)? He's out of contract in the summer anyway, is he? So if you don't sell him now he'll go for nothing in 4 months.
And if he's not, why would you risk the loan, when his only just come back from injury? If he breaks down in training in a few weeks, he'll go back to Arsenal and you'll have to pick his wages again. If you sell him, it our problem.
O a personal note, I don't think you can loan senior players like that. Their egos are to big. It's fine with younger players who are happy to bide their time but big player want to be first choice for the big games.
