Lauren does not want to stay in Premiership

Arsenal full back Lauren does not want to continue playing in the Premiership.

According to press reports, he has rejected a move to struggling West Ham United, who made a £1 million bid for the former Cameroon international.

Lauren turns 30 on Monday and not many clubs have come in with an offer, but even so he is not rushing to come to a decision.

Lauren was told he was surplus to requirements at Arsenal after seeing his position filled by young full-backs Emmanuel Eboue and Justin Hoyte.

Lauren now wants to return to Spain, where he experienced a successful career at Real Mallorca.
