Wenger: Diaby deserved the luck

Arsčne Wenger says that midfielder Abou Diaby deserved the luck he got to deflect the winning goal into the net against Aston Villa.

Diaby deflected a Julio Baptista shot into the net to score the winner for the Gunners, a win that moves them into third place in the league table.

Wenger said: "He deserved it and we are happy for him.

"It was a bit lucky but in the first half Jeremie Aliádíčre had a great time but just couldn't finish the game off."
