According to his agent, Julio Baptista is set to secure a move to North London.
Baptista's agent Herminio Menendez insisted: "It looks like Julio will be staying at Arsenal and he's delighted.
"He's very happy in London and playing for Arsène Wenger and is looking forward to everything being agreed.
"He's making a big effort to adapt to England and has stepped up his English lessons because he wants to settle in for a long stay.
"We still have to speak to Arsenal but we don't think there will be any problems."
Menendez also explained that despite José Antonio Reyes and Baptista moving in opposite directions in a swap loan deal, Reyes not wanting to stay in Real Madrid would not affect a Baptista transfer.
Menendez added: "Although the players moved in a swap deal both transfers are independent of each other."

Baptista hasn't really done much to impress me this season. True he has had injuries and has had to push his way into the first team, but i really cant see him starting ahead of TH14 and Robin next season so i wouldn't be surprised if Wenger trys to develop him into a more physical attacking/midfielder - although he may be a useful utility player i think anything over £7m is poor business!

He is and will be a good player...a physical forward is something we need to scrap for goals in difficult games....He is a real Tank of a Player....Good Signing in my view if he is staying...
