Arsène Wenger is relieved to welcome back Emmanuel Adebayor on Saturday as he takes his side to Anfield.
The suspended striker has not played since his red card in the Carling Cup final, and Wenger admits Adebayor has been missed.
"With the number of strikers we have out, his presence, physical ability and penetration power means it is good to have him back," Wenger said.
"We have been punished very hard with Adebayor so it is a relief to have him with us again."
The other good news ahead of the Liverpool game is the return of first choice full-backs Emmanuel Eboue and Gaël Clichy.
Eboue has been out with an ankle problem and Clichy with an injured hamstring, but have had extra time to recover over the international break.
The only doubt is Gilberto, who faces a fitness test on Friday after picking up a knock playing for Brazil.
"We have good news over the injuries from the international games," said Wenger. "The only doubt we have is Gilberto who had a kick on his hip. He will have a test on Friday.
"Apart from the fatigue factor everybody else looks OK. Eboue and Clichy are fit and they are back in the squad."
