Wenger cannot accept West Ham loss

Manager Arsène Wenger says that he cannot believe his team lost to West Ham, especially after the amount of chances created.

Unlike previous games, where Arsenal possession seldom turned into goal-scoring opportunities, the Gunners pounded the West Ham goal but were denied an equaliser by the frame of the goal or by the Hammers keeper.

Wenger said: "It's unbelievable. I think we created at least 10 chances today - not half-chances, but clear-cut chances.

"It's difficult to understand.

"It was one-way traffic from the first to the last minute. I feel everything went against us.

"The fact we missed early chances meant there was always more pressure on the next one who had the chance.

"In the end I couldn't believe that nobody could put the ball in the net."
