Arsène Wenger is aiming for as strong a finish as possible after his team's 3-1 win over Manchester City.
It is imperative that Arsenal secure a Champions League position and are all but assured of that after moving into third spot in the league.
Wenger said: "It's important to finish as high as you can."
The Frenchman also said that he feels his young team have learned from the mistakes of this season and will be better equipped next season to challenge for the title.
Wenger added: "Yes because this team have already been in the Champions League and I believe we changed the stadium, that's never easy at the start, we dropped some points here."
Meanwhile, the Football Association have fined Wenger £2,500 and issued a warning about his future conduct.
Wenger was charged by the Football Association "in relation to his words and behaviour towards the match officials at half time of Arsenal's match against Portsmouth on 16 December 2006".
